BTO ATLAS 2007-11
We are about to start the fieldwork for the third year of this four year project. Most of the tetrads that are still to be surveyed as a Timed Tetrad Visit (TTV) have been allocated but there is still scope for many more Roving Records. Charles Hull is the Atlas Organizer for Cheshire South and for the area of Cheshire South that coincides with the SECOS area he has provided two lists.
One is a list of species expected to have been seen in winter but not yet recorded. If you see any of these species between 1st November and 28th February 2010 then either submit them directly via the BTO Atlas website or tell Charles or me.
Although the Breeding Atlas season has finished it is still possible to add records to the database. So the second list is of those species that have still not been confirmed as breeding. This is a much longer list and needs to be reduced. So if you have had a confirmed breeding record for any of these species this summer, again submit directly or tell Charles or me. But be aware that fledged young can not be included since they may have moved from their breeding site.
The lists will be displayed on the notice board at Indoor Meetings.
