    2 Common Sandpipers,Oystercatcher and 66 Lapwings on the island at Doddington this morning also Raven of note.

    Canary – Haslington, OS Grid Ref: – SJ 72587 56321: presumed escapee seen fly into conifer in front of Bradeley Hall Farm mid-morning. Still perched up when I moved on after 5 minutes

    Two juv Grey Wagtails at a very quiet Doddington this morning.The injured Oystercatcher was feeding with an adult with a third across the pool.Best bird was a Garden Warbler at Lea Forge which showed briefly at close range.Also there,Sparrowhawk,Whitethroat,Nuthatch,G.S.Woodpeckers and a family group of 5 Ravens on the ground,probably bred at Doddington.

    Spotted Flycatcher gave us a buzz at Lea Forge this morning,also Bullfinch.A juv Oystercatcher with an injured leg was distressing to see at Doddington,no adults.Two pairs of G.C.Grebes with juvs have appeared out of the blue,also ten Mistle Thrush.

    Macon Meadows yesterday morning – Kingfisher♂ sunning himself on moss covered wall, juv GS Woodpecker & juv Song Thrush + juv Moorhen on ‘wrong’ side of drain grill. Still upgrading breeding codes for SWaBBS well into July!

    Kingfisher the best bird at Doddington this morning but only a single Oystercatcher remains.A family of Mistle Thrushes were around the pool.Recent visits to Lea Forge have yielded,Sedge Warbler,Chiffchaff,Whitethroat,Tree Creepers,Linnets,Reed Bunting,Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
